I'm Sydney Lopez, colorful, rainbow hair colorist, and I've got to share the story about the creative powerhouse who’s behind our stunning capes and aprons. Meet Christina—the magical seamstress and fashion designer who’s transforming our salon world!

It started back in cosmetology school, while I was rushing to Whataburger every morning, and there she was, Christina, the ray of sunshine brightening my day with her smile (& a giant Diet Coke). Christina asked about my work, and as soon as I mentioned cosmetology school, sparks flew. She wanted a major hair transformation, and I was thrilled to deliver. We took her long locks to a fiery red pixie cut, and it was pure magic!

Christina’s fearless creativity didn't stop with her hair. As an incredibly talented designer, with a heart full of love for people, she has been the perfect partner for this project—creating the ULTIMATE capes and aprons for stylists. Together with my partner Pamela, we brainstormed, tested, and refined our designs tirelessly until we achieved perfection.

Sandy Thayer is the real deal – a true unicorn of awesomeness! She raised three kiddos as a single mom, and they absolutely adore her. While they were growing up, Sandy rocked a full-time job managing grocery stores. Total badass alert! 💪 She's got a treasure trove of hobbies like cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, working on puzzles, hanging out with her dog and two cats, and volunteering her heart out.

Sandy's sewing skills are legendary – she’s donated over 1,500 masks, when they were nearly impossible to find. She’s also crafted over 400 dresses and 800 cloth sanitary pads for Haitian women, and a mind-blowing 1,300 "Adult Bibs" for Adult Care Facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Talk about a sewing superstar! She accepts all fabric, thread, and Velcro donations to keep the magic going. 🧵🪡

Finally, let's not forget the epic collaboration she had with Sydney and Pamela to create the cherished "Frankenstein Cape." Sandy made the very first cape and meticulously made countless alterations to get it just perfect for Sydney's exact specifications. What a fabulous unicorn! 🦄She also happens to be Pamela's mom!
